Free Flower pattern
I’m sure calling this a pattern breaks some kind of law. It’s so easy and quick. Make a load and give them to people, or stick them onto clothes, bags, school stuff, a wall, anything.
They take about 5 minutes, and use tiny amounts of wool, so they’re great for those scraps hiding in a corner.
Apologies for the awful photo. It was taken on my phone, on my “well loved” desk.

Here’s the pattern:
Make an adjustable ring. Or, chain 3 and join in a ring.
5sc in the ring.
Inc all.
Ch2, 2hdc in the next stitch, chain 2, sl st into the next stitch
Repeat this 4 more times, so you end up with 5 petals.
The last sl st should go into the first stitch of the first petal, but don’t worry too much if it doesn’t.
Finish off, leaving enough wool to sew if you want to.
If you want a center (like on the red and purple ones in the picture) simply sc5 in an adjustable ring, inc all (10 sts) and then tie off and sew into the middle.
Really easy, really fast, and it makes no difference what size wool and hook you use. Thin wool with a small hook gives a smaller flower. Thick wool with a big hook will give you a big flower. There’s a world of possibilities. Mix it up.
