Baby owl in a top hat. Get it here.
Things have been crazy. I don’t know if any of you still even remember following me or have an interest any more, but I set up a shop here if you want to buy some of my stuff. I should be putting some more up soon. And I will be posting some of my recent projects soon hopefully, so don’t write me off just yet :)
So that last picture I posted is my latest creation. I kinda love her right now. I’m actually happy with how she turned out. And I think I might make her a set of jumpers, so she’s always looking awesome and feeling warm.
I would post a pattern, but I actually used a pattern on this one, rather than just improvising and hoping it works. The pattern was in the little extra crochet book that came with the June 2010 issue of Crafts Beautiful if you’re interested.
Working on a granny square bag. Liking it so far. Will post pics when it’s done (hopefully tomorrow)
It’s been too long since I’ve updated this. Considering deleting it tbh as I never update it, and the patterns are rubbish.
But yeah. I made this

So here’s the pattern. This is just going by memory btw so if I get something wrong, tell me.
The raincloud:
Ch 23
Starting in 2nd chain from hook, sc in each chain (22 sts)
Don’t turn. Sc 2 more in the end chain.
Sc along the underside of the chain.
Sc 2 more in the last chain.
(Ch1, then sc along and around, with 2 sts in both stitches at the ends.)
Repeat the brackets 4 more times.
You should now have a roundish rectangle.
Starting at the bottom right corner, (Ch2, then 1hdc in each of the next 3 sts. Ch1, then sl st into the next st.)
Repeat the brackets until you reach the bottom left corner.
The raindrops:
sc6 in a magic ring
dec all (3sts)
Tie off, leaving a long enough tail to tie to the cloud.
The flowers:
I know that’s quite a poorly written pattern, so let me know if you need anything clarified.
Here is a visual representation of what I mean. It’s a smaller version but shows the same basic principles. C is chain, X is sc, | is hdc, and S is slst.
Any problems? Let me know (:
Wow, to be honest, I’d kinda forgotten about this.
I’ve not even really been crocheting recently though. More just school. Homework. Sleep.
Maybe I’ll update in the holidays, if I can get a break from revision lol.
I finished the Queen Vampire, and if I do say so myself, I think she’s rather lovely.
Quite cute really.
Now I just have to make the skeleton bride and groom, and Jack’s ninja. All before Monday. Can I summon the energy?

So I finally invested in a real crochet book, rather than just mooching off of online patterns and improvising.
It seems pretty good.
Fairly simple. There isn’t really much difference between patterns, but they’re all very creepy and cute, so I guess it does what it says on the tin. I just need to sit down and make them now. I’m halfway through the Queen Vampire’s head. Seems okay so far.
So yeah, that’s pretty much all I have to say.
Recently, it’s just been iPod covers, my scarf, and now these little creatures. I never get time to really do anything involving thought at school, and by the time I get home, I’m too tired to do much.
Maybe in half term I’ll do more…
